What Readers Are Saying

Michelle Parker

MSW, LISW-CP, LICSW, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Founder of Beach Counselors.

"Therapist on Fire invites readers to walk with Karen Robinson through some of her most difficult life experiences.

The author provides keen insight into how abuse survivors experience delayed emotional development while building resilience in describing her early memories of a terrifying home invasion to her early adult life of confusing messaging from her partner.

This book offers all readers hope for recovery and provides a blueprint for survivors to become thrivers."

Stephanie Flanders-Martin

500 Hour Yoga Medicine Therapeutic Specialist, Travel Partner-Boutique Adventures by the Martins, and Franchise Owner for TEAM Referral Network

"This book feels like sitting with Karen as she gently shares her wisdom—steady, compassionate, and deeply attuned. Through her Heal–Thrive–Dream framework, she offers a powerful and accessible path for trauma survivors to recognize where they are

and what’s possible next.

As someone who has navigated financial, relational, and spiritual trauma, I found myself both seen in the healing phase and inspired toward thriving and dreaming. Grounded in six essential pillars—mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, energetic, and relational—this book becomes more than guidance; it becomes a trusted companion.

You will walk away with clarity, practical tools, and a renewed sense of possibility for your own healing journey."

Susan L. Ernst

Author and Child Protection Advocate

"Therapist on Fire is not simply another book about trauma it is a courageous, deeply human

offering that speaks directly to the lived experience of survivors

while illuminating a path forward.

From the opening pages, Karen Lynn Robinson invites readers into the raw and often unspoken

inner world of complex trauma the exhaustion, the self-questioning, the quiet shame, and the

longing for real healing. Her words feel less like instruction and more like recognition.

She doesn’t speak at survivors; she speaks with them.

What makes this book especially powerful is its dual nature. It is both deeply personal and

profoundly practical. Robinson shares her own story with honesty and vulnerability, while also

offering the Heal Thrive Dream (HTD) Method a structured, compassionate framework that

gives readers something many trauma survivors are searching for:

not just hope, but a clear and accessible roadmap.

Her emphasis on choice, empowerment, and nervous system awareness stands out. There is no

pressure, no urgency, no “quick fix.” Instead, there is a steady, respectful invitation to move

toward healing at one’s own pace something that feels both rare and essential

in trauma-informed work.

There are moments in this book that feel almost sacred in their honesty especially her

reflections on what it means to sit with discomfort rather than run from it. These passages will

resonate deeply with readers who have long felt “too much” or “not enough,” and who are

quietly wondering if healing is truly possible for them.

Therapist on Fire is, at its heart, a message of possibility. It reminds us that survival is not the

end of the story and that with the right support, understanding, and tools,

transformation is within reach.

This is a meaningful and important contribution to the field of trauma healing. A book I would

confidently place in the hands of anyone seeking not just insight,

but a compassionate way forward."
